Omg I put a well thought out Nd detailed review that I somehow erased and don't have time to write again at the moment. Detail review coming soon Meanwhile PLEASE NOTE THIS PLACE IS AMAZING with really greasy food and great service. This is the first yelp review and the only way we discovered was by word of mouth and trip advisor

Why 2 stars when the food is so damn good?
Well...I chose this restaurant based upon Yelp showing "takes credit cards". La cuenta arrives and I am informed "cash only". Roberto, the owner, offers to drive me to an ATM. On the way there he tells me that he is doing cash because of "tax authorities". Really?
The special of the day was: whole red snapper with 8 shrimp and vegetables. For two people. $800.
It was incredible. And, I loved the homemade habanero sauce on the side.
The starter tortilla soup had a light tomato broth, avocado, quest fresco.
The poached pear dessert with ice cream was delicious.
Our wine was a sauvignon blanc from México: Marqués del Valle. It was surprisingly good. We drank 2 bottles.
+ Traditional embroidered tablecloth.
+ Cloth napkins.
+ Intimate atmosphere.
+ Very enjoyable music from the guitar playing balladeer.
+/- Erratic service. (There appear to be two classes of customers here. Regulars who get excellent service and non-regulars who get good and crappy service.)
- Very limited wine list. Only three whites in a seafood restaurant?
- Cheap "stainless" flatware.
- Weak A/C.
- Cash only.
$2200 for dinner for two, including propina. -

Very nice clean cozy restaurant. Has AC!!! Greeted immediately and servers (Arturo and others)were very tentative. Explained the specials and gave us recommendations. The food was delicious, so full of flavor. Compliments to the Chef Roberto (who came out to greet us!). We highly recommend this restaurant and will be coming back at least one more time before we leave. See pics to see what we ordered. Not shown is the complimentary ceasar salad.

Wow! I can't believe we haven't tried this place before. I ordered the sautéed shrimp in poblano sauce. It came with cilantro rice and veggies. Loved everything. My dinner companions ordered Ribs with French fries. I tasted the sauce, it was sweet and a little smoky. They said the meat fell off the bones - tender perfection. We had a house salad with a vinaigrette dressing that was delicious as well. A poached pear with vanilla ice cream for dessert. Everything delicious! The service was also top-notch, the waiter Arturo was attentive and explained the menu well. The chef Roberto came by to check on us before we left. Awesome place. Can't wait to go back.
Please excuse my photos - the food came out looking beautiful and I started eating before I remembered to take the photos! Oops! -

Heard so many great reviews and decided to check it out while here on a week vacation. The food of course was fresh and amazing!!!! But what really blesses us was the amazing and friendly staff from the owner, lead chef, bartender, waiter, and the list goes on! You will not be disappointed!!!
